Revenge – Emily’s Wedding & More Red Sharpie Action
Production of ABC’s Revenge Season 3 is in full swing with the filming of episode 3.05 Control this week. Meanwhile there are still many speculations and theories going round about Emily’s (Emily VanCamp) wedding, and ‘that’ scene from the season 3 promo.
In the first few minutes of the premiere episode, we’ll witness Emily being shot on a yacht – her body falling into the ocean. Have the Revenge writers decided to kill off their main character? Hopefully not! So it will be very interesting to find out what happened on the yacht, who shot Emily and if Nolan (Gabriel Mann) is on time to rescue Ems – unless of course Nolan shot Emily? See everything and anything is possible with Revenge…
So what about this wedding, that will lead us to these tragic events on the yacht?
E!Online confirmed that Emily is planning her wedding with Daniel (Josh Bowman) and that she has the full intention to go through with it, this time round. (at least until episode 3.0 5 Control). The big question has to be if Daniel and Emily will indeed get married, and if he was the one on the yacht? Did he shoot his bride? Maybe the entire scene of Emily in a wedding dress being shot, was orchestrated by Emily herself. Perhaps to escape potential victims of her red sharpie?
Which brings us to the next exciting revelation that the red sharpie will be back with a ‘Revenge‘. Yes the weekly takedowns are back as TV Line had a chat with show runner Sunil Nayar:
“They’ll play out over multiple episodes. They’ll also be less plot-driven. We’re going to use them to explore who Emily is a little bit more than we’ve had a chance to in the past.”
“We’re 44 hours into the show now. She’s experienced so many different things, culminating in the revelation of who [really] is to Jack. We’re examining not just who she is and what happiness means to her, but what are the ramifications of her plans are. Because now there’s someone who knows. And that’s going to have an impact on Emily. So the takedowns are still going to be wonderful, but they’re also going to have a deeper meaning and a deeper effect.”
This is what fans of Revenge have been missing the most from the previous season, so we’re thrilled to see the return of the takedowns. Emily, Nolan and Aiden (Barry Sloane) make such a fine team, we’re looking forward to see them fire up the revengines and uncap those red sharpie pens!
Revenge Season 3 premieres onSunday 29 September on ABC.
